What You Will Learn
This course provides a strong practical foundation in accounting using Tally, enabling learners to manage day-to-day business accounts, inventory, taxation, and payroll with confidence.You will learn how to:
- Understand core accounting concepts, including basic accounting principles and manual accounting fundamentals
- Set up companies and ledgers in Tally, with proper grouping and structure for accurate accounting
- Record accounting transactions, post voucher entries, and prepare key financial statements such as Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet
- Perform final accounts adjustments, ensuring accurate closing of books
- Manage inventory and stock, including item creation, inventory vouchers, units of measure, godowns, and inter-department stock transfers
- Handle purchase and sales processes, including purchase orders and sales orders
- Manage manufacturing activities, track raw materials, finished goods, batch details, and manufacturing dates
- Work with cost centers and costing, for departmental or project-wise expense tracking
- Control pricing and stock, using price lists, batch-wise accounting, and expiry date tracking
- Understand direct taxation basics, including TDS handling
- Process payroll in Tally, covering salary structures, statutory deductions, attendance-based payroll, and compliance
- Perform banking operations, including Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS)
- Configure and process GST transactions, covering CGST and SGST accounting in Tally
